ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Goshikko! I love drawing original characters (OCs), Y2K-inspired art, concept art, character designs, and 2D animations. I enjoy developing my characters, creating lore, and worldbuilding as my passions when creating big series projects! I also stream art and games on Twitch/YouTube as Nijima the Y2K Demon!I experienced art school for 8 years as a Visual Arts alumni in Arts High School (2015-2019) and a BFA Animation & Illustration major at Montclair State University (2019-2023). I desire to work freelance in the animation industry and independent projects, including my own personal projects of animated webseries, shorts, films, and webcomics, as well as setting up an online animation studio where I can publish my creations of OCs, stories, worldbuilding, and any concepts in mind to make a living off of for the rest of my life! When I'm not drawing or animating, I watch YouTube videos, anime, cartoons, chill listening to music, imagine my OCs doing random actions, play video games, write down OC bios and information, stream as a VTuber, eat food in my spare time, and hang with other cool and chill friends I fit in well.I loved drawing ever since I was taught by my mom how to draw as a toddler. Growing up, I had always loved watching cartoons, anime, animated movies/shorts, and playing video games throughout my life. I self-taught drawing around 6-7 years old when I drew on separate sheets of paper and blank books. Between the ages 7 to 14, I watched a lot of speedpaint videos and animation memes on YouTube that started getting me into digital art, starting with a mouse, MS Paint, and Photoshop CS5. At 15 years old, I started using drawing tablets. My first drawing tablet was a Wacom Intuos Draw in 2016, a Huion KAMVAS GT-191 in 2018, an Apple iPad Pro 12.9 Inch (3rd Gen) in 2019, and now an XP-Pen Artist 16 (2nd Gen) in 2022. I discovered and understood the process and history of how animations, both cartoons and anime, were made behind the scenes, improved my art fundamentals, and animation principles throughout high school and college. As an artist, animator, and designer with highly creative concepts, stories, and passion projects, I passionately love drawing art ever since I picked up pencils, crayons, and paint in my childhood. I have a strong ability to translate creative ideas into drawings.I hope my work will inspire many other people to keep doing what they love in their own path!If you'd like to support me and my work/projects financially (OC art, animations, streams, and series projects) to help me make a living, I appreciate any support given towards me as an artist and an animator!
